Press release.

DorDor Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition “No Common Sence” by Ilya Fedorov curated by Irina Chistikina.

Ilya is a Russian figurative artist, as curator of the exhibition Ira Chistikina called his manner “new constructivism”. His subjects develop a symbolist vocabulary for contemporary figurative painting.

The artist draws on a range of experiences, methods, and styles to present moments that show us the matter, the word, the action, and the movement.

The artist paints propaganda of common sense, trying to draw the attention of the audience to the cultural and economic problems. There are a lot of pain, effort, originality, firmness, and confidence in his works, this is especially noticeable in the artist's composition: sharp angles, points, words, diagonals, compositional triangles.

The artist seems to be writing a new hymn to the International, through his works where the main idea is formed on the basis of organic synthesis of the principles of architectural, sculptural, and pictorial forms.

During the opening night DorDor Gallery will also present Nadezhda Titova↗︎'s screening: [ro'dina] and the Royal Academy and the TENT Academy Award video-performance "Yokhor" by Natalia Papaeva↗︎.
